Funding from Christmas car parking

The Rotary Club of South Cambridge have offered to help Cambridge Dial a Ride with a donation from their Christmas car parking income this year.

This  year will be the tenth year that they have run the event and last year £30,000 was raised that was distributed to a number of local and national charities.

The Rotary Club has been given the use of the car parks at Downing Site, Cambridge Assessment, and The Chemistry Lab by the generosity of the Cambridge University and Colleges.

Each weekend from the end of November up to and over the weekend of the Christmas sales The Rotary Club man the entrance to all three car parks during the day from early Saturday morning to the middle of the Sunday afternoon.

Volunteers are required to assist in the manning of the entrances for slots of 2 hours.
