As you know, Cambridge Dial a Ride, which provides an essential minibus service transporting people with mobility issues, is back in action and ready to help.

Bill Hughes Chair of the Charity says “As we had been operating in Cambridge for well over 22 years without a break, it was a bit of a shock for us when we had to halt our services due to Covid 19 back in March.  However, we were delighted to be able to re-start our operations from the beginning of August and since then have slowly, carefully and very safely been transporting our members to wherever they wish to go”.

“All our drivers were retrained under our new operating regime where we had to implement a strict cleaning and protective routine for both our staff and passengers.  This  includes use of PPE equipment for our drivers as well as re-fitting buses with screens and seating arrangements to ensure the safety of everyone involved”.

From medical appointments and visiting family and friends to shopping trips and social engagements and outings, Cambridge Dial-a-Ride can take you wherever you want to go, whenever you wish to travel (weekdays) and as many times as you wish to travel, there are no limits as to how many times you can use us.  We will pick you up from and return you home again in safety and comfort in one of our purpose built minibuses which all have rear access lifts to accommodate most wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walking frames and shopping trolley’s.
