Christmas Carparking
The Rotary Club Of Cambridge South had been given the use of University car parks in Cambridge to raise money for local charities over the Christmas and New Year holidays. The car parks used were Downing Site in Tennis Court Road, The Chemistry Laboratory in Lensfield Road and Cambridge Assessment in Park Terrace.
A number of volunteers were needed to man the sites in 2.5 hour slots over the 15 days. Cambridge Dial a Ride members offered their services and manned over 20 slots.
The money raised will be divided between a number of local charities, Cambridge Dial a Ride being one of the recipients.
The photographs show Lyn Hartley our scheduler and Heather from Winter Comfort manning the Downing Site and Johan Williams and Julliet Maltby manning the Cambridge Assessment site.
Over the 15 days a sum of £35800 has been collected for distribution amongst the charities selected.
